The Trade Winds to Success Training Society

Training Alberta's Indigenous People for Success in the Trades

Since 2005, more than 2,300 Trade Winds clients have participated in pre-apprenticeship training in the Boilermaker, Carpenter, Construction Craft Worker, Electrician, Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), Ironworker, Plumber, Steamfitter-Pipefitter and Welder trades. More than 200 of these clients have gone on to achieve journeyman status and many more are working their way through apprenticeship toward their journeyman ticket. The program has expanded over the years, which included training directly in Indigenous communities of Alberta. Trade Winds will continue to bring many more trained Indigenous people into the Alberta workforce.

Available to all Indigenous Albertans, conducted in Edmonton
