Residential Construction (Carpentry) Program Starting May 20, 2025

Interested in becoming a carpenter or working in residential construction? Trade Winds to Success can help kickstart your apprenticeship through our tuition-free Residential Construction Program!

The next program will run in Edmonton, AB from May 20, 2025 to September 19, 2025.

Participants will be given the opportunity to:

• Learn essential skills to succeed in the trades.
• Be academically prepared for the carpenter apprenticeship entrance exam.
• Gain extensive hands-on experience in carpentry and residential construction by taking part in building Eco-Smart Homes.
• Receive support as needed throughout the program to ensure successful program completion.
• Be given a basic tool kit and referred to employer partners at graduation.
• Earn 330 hours towards the first year of their carpentry apprenticeship.

Eligibility:

• First Nations, Métis, or Inuit
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Minimum grade 9
• Ready, willing, and able to work in the trades
